On This Night, We Celebrate

Max and I married each other on October 20, 2018.  That day was everything we could have asked for, and more. 

Tonight, my new hubby and I celebrated one month married. We decided to have a “mini stay-cation” at home. We put onto paper feelings and sensations we experienced both individually and as married couple. We crafted an outlet for self-expression, one we haven’t previously explored together: poetry. Tonight, our minds came together and made this:

The Day We Wed

Pure bliss is marrying her.

My heart swelling,

One thousand thoughts converging into one overwhelming feeling.

In disbelief that we have found each other,

That our moment is here at last,

That we are becoming one for a lifetime.

Picturesque images of our future,

Our adventures,

The paths we’ll forge.

Together, we’ll be the architects of our journey,

Here to provide a sturdy foundation,

Always,

As we explore two becoming one.
